David enjoys the physicality of exploring the plasticity of hot metal through sculpture, domestic work and through teaching the craft.

He has produced a series of works abstracted from botanical, figurative and neurological sources. In each series he strives to reduce and simplify natural forms to emphasize their spatial relationships and emotional charge.
