More known for her brightly coloured landscapes of the North York Moors, Sue has recently begun to diversify her practice, exploring new ways of working in mixed media and collage. She still likes best to work outside, responding immediately to what she sees. The resulting drawings can then be looked at in the studio and decisions made about how to take the work forward. More intimate settings of her garden or walks with the dog are the current inspiration for her work as she aims to capture something of the spirit of place.
